Key Art for a Stage Play "A Prayer for the Infidel"

Client: L.A. I.C.C

Goal: To design the key art for the 4th annual stage play "A Prayer for the Infidel," written and directed by Kimba Henderson. It debuted in Manhattan Beach, C.A. on May 17th 2014, presented by Kaleidoscope. It quickly became part of the L.A. theatre scene through the Hollywood Fringe festival and was featured on marketing materials throughout the city. I was privileged to have had a generous amount of creative freedom and my own copy of the script to be able to delve into the concept and bring the essence of the story alive. The only request the client had was to use a bata drums in the art and to stay true to the spirit of the 60's revolutionary theme. Black panthers, hippies and the counter culture movement in San Francisco played a significant role in the story, and it was great to delve into themes of broken dreams, pain and forgiveness. The art was placed on posters, postcards, website and promotional materials.
